time was figuring itself out
i was figuring myself out
i'm finding peace and when i drive far
i forget that i have to come back.
all the dreams i've had of a midnight glance
and the telephone calls in the bar.
no experience or relationship
we're just living with the dark in the walls

i made a joke and i took it too far
i forgot what it was about
i should've slept when i was feeling tired
now i don't know if i can go to bed
all the dreams i have are the latest trend
we're just throwing our bones in the yard

because we just cant steal the net
we raise our hopes for the best
we're losing time
because we've been waiting for too long

we're just living with the dark in the walls
(and all this time its just been me)
